We're taking over Sandbanks....

Here's the new offering from Wireless Operators.

Sandbanks is a small area on the Dorset Coastline has the fourth highest land value in the world.
House prices on the two-mile Sandbanks peninsula overlooking Poole harbour are higher than in Singapore, New York or Paris.
We're just sayin'.

Moves Like Jagger Cover

Our 'dusty velvet French smoky cafe' version of Moves Like Jagger, (originally written by Maroon 5 feat. Christina Aguilera). We've spliced in a bit of Donna Summer for good measure.... Andy Hannaford on lead vocals and guitar and Lorna Rees as, ahem, 'Christina' and on the baby accordian.

Gig @ Lighthouse (in the acoustic space)

On the 12th January we played the 'closing gig' for the Arts University College 'Music Architecture Poole' in the Acoustic Performance Space as part of their exhibition - you can also hear a little bit of us on their video about the exhibition, footage they filmed of our first public rehearsal (we feature at 11:25):

We love playing the shed - it's a really intersting space to work in - especially for public rehearsals!

The type of songs we like singing....

We rather like doing slightly unusual covers of pop songs, we're a bit partial to 80's Pop, but have succumbed to the charms of Kraftwek, Maroon 5 and even the Foo Fighters.

Absolute Beginners; David Bowie
Fifteen Minutes; Kirsty MacColl
Save a Prayer; Duran Duran
The Model; Kraftwerk
Walking After You; Foo Fighters
Moves Like Jagger; Maroon 5
I Wanna Dance With Somebody; Whitney Houston

We've also a wealth of our own material which we regularly draw upon!

Hello - we're Wireless Operators

Hello - we're Wireless Operators, a band who come from the beautiful county of Dorset.
Andy Hannaford is a singer songwriter born in Somerset but who has lived all over the place
(namely Spain and Edinburgh) before moving back to the South of England.
Lorna orginially hails from Essex but she's lived in Dorset for most of her life (though she also spent a fair spell in London too). Lorna is a Theatre Producer and Artist.
Wireless Operators take their influences from far and wide, but we're a wee bit folk, a wee bit pop a wee bit of whatever.
We also really like to collaborate with other musicans and artists.
